This is one of the best videos I have seen of a panda giving birth. Sadly, the baby panda died 3 days after birth.

The Sichuan Giant Panda Sanctuary is a cherished World Heritage site and home to 30% of the world’s remaining pandas.

Aid teams working in the area need help to be most effective in their efforts to save the pandas and restore access to the sites. Check out the online campaign that Friends of World Heritage, a grassroots initiative created by the United Nations Foundation with Expedia, Inc. (NASDAQ: EXPE) and UNESCO’s World Heritage Centre, has created to raise awareness and funds to help.
I have a different attitude toward this. Yes, the artist is trying to make money by using the panda theme commercially, and what he's doing may be in poor taste, but he isn't harming pandas. (And I seem to recall that no one accused the auto makers of demeaning pandas with the "panda car" that everyone was oohing and aahing over not long ago.)

Wild animals are demeaned when they're killed and their fur is turned into coats for humans. They're demeaned when they're killed and their testicles and other body parts are "harvested" for so-called virility treatments for men. If the Chinese are outraged by the exploitation of animals, maybe they should stop harassing a fashion designer who has only used the image and colors of pandas and instead pass laws against killing tigers, bears and other wild creatures to make "medicines" that don't even work.
